Business Development Manager for the DACH Hunting/Fishing and Outdoor Market
HIKMICRO is looking for a Business Development Manager for the DACH Hunting/Fishing and Outdoor Market.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in the hunting/outdoor/optoelectronic industry, as well as experience in channel development and sales.
The primary responsibility is to expand HIKMICRO’s presence in the DACH region by building and maintaining solid business relationships with distributors, dealers, associations, relevant authorities, and end users.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the local team to achieve regional sales targets.
- Develop the Hunting and Outdoor market in the DACH region through market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights.
- Identify new business opportunities and growth potential across various sales channels.
- Approach, establish, and maintain long‑term relationships with distributors, dealers, partners, and end users.
- Organize and support marketing activities, including trade shows, roadshows, dealer events, product trainings, and other promotional initiatives.
- Present solutions and products to customers and partners with a professional and consultative approach.
- Participate in industry associations, clubs, and interest groups to expand market influence.
- Assist clients with tenders, key projects, and customized requests.
- Promote HIKMICRO as a preferred brand within the hunting and outdoor ecosystem.
- Prepare regular business reports as required by management.
Perfect Candidate
- A licensed hunter or an experienced outdoor sports enthusiast (strong advantage).
- Currently living in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, and willing to travel frequently within the region.
- Experienced (3+ years) in Outdoor / Hunting / Fishing / Optoelectronic distribution, retail, sales, or channel management.
- Familiar with the DACH hunting market, including associations, dealers, and user communities.
- Fluent in German and English (fluency in French is a plus).
- Strong in communication, negotiation, and relationship-building.
- Skilled at MS Office and able to prepare structured reports.
- Self‑driven, reliable, and proactive, with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Holding a driver's license (Category B or equivalent).
- Strong reporting skills and the ability to collect and analyze data are considered a plus.
- Experience working in a multinational company is preferred, along with strong cross‑cultural communication skills.
