Job summary

Xcede partnered with a rapidly scaling European AI company to hire a Staff Software Engineer. The role focuses on shaping engineering strategy and architecture while staying hands-on, scaling thousands of workloads on Kubernetes and reducing real-time AI latency across multi-region infrastructure.

You’ll advise leadership and drive orchestration for AI agents, working in a high-stakes environment. You’ll write code daily, define technical strategy across teams, and ensure engineering capacity

Xcede have partnered with a rapidly scaling European AI company, valued in the billion after a recent nine-figure funding round, who are hiring a Staff Software Engineer. They build the infrastructure behind enterprise-grade AI agents, and their platform already runs customer conversations at global enterprise scale for household-name brands across multiple industries.

You’ll shape engineering strategy and architecture while staying close to the code: scaling thousands of workloads on Kubernetes, pushing real-time AI latency to new lows and building multi-agent orchestration. AI is the product, and this is a hands-on role in an ambiguous, high-stakes environment.

• Write code every day and deliver real business value.
• Define and drive technical strategy across multiple teams and org-wide initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, making sure engineering capacity matches market and customer demand.
• 10-12+ years of experience as a seasoned technical leader with a track record of org-level or industry-level impact.
