trivago N.V. in Düsseldorf is offering an internship with hands-on digital marketing and email template work. You’ll craft HTML/CSS emails, adapt templates from a design-system, and support multi-language assets while learning the business side of the metasearch hotel industry.

You’ll gain experience with Cursor and Claude AI workflows, data-driven campaigns, and QA across devices and translations. A valid German work permit is required.

The trivago B2B Independent Hotels team has an exciting opportunity for an intern who wants to build real digital marketing skills while learning how the business side of the metasearch hotel industry works. We’re a growing group focused on scaling our direct connections with independent hotels globally through trivago Business Studio.

You’ll get hands‑on with the tools, workflows and data behind our email campaigns, writing the HTML and CSS behind our templates and using the AI‑assisted build workflow we run in Cursor and Claude. trivago is a place where ambition and support go hand in hand: we hold high standards and genuinely invest in each other’s growth, so you’ll always have people around you to learn from.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Support the planning, building and delivery of digital marketing campaigns and email communications for independent hotels.
• Build and adapt responsive HTML/CSS email templates from our design-system component library.
• Help maintain and improve our multi-language library of marketing templates and creative assets.
• Work with campaign data and reporting to track key performance metrics and spot opportunities to improve.
• Support quality assurance: testing campaigns across devices, checking translations, and validating tracking links.
• Get involved in refining our AI-assisted marketing workflows (Cursor, Claude) to work faster and smarter.

What you’ll need to thrive:

• Studying Marketing, Digital Business, Media Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• A genuine learning mindset — you approach challenges with curiosity, seek out feedback, and continuously look for ways to develop and grow.
• A performance mindset — you set ambitious goals for yourself and have the determination and resilience to follow through and achieve them.
• An open and curious mindset toward AI tools and automation — you actively explore how tools like Claude and Cursor can enhance your work, and you’re excited to grow alongside evolving technology.
• A valid work permit authorizing employment in Germany (required for all internship applicants).

Stand out with:

• Experience with email or digital marketing platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Mailchimp).
• Marketing campaigns or templates you’ve built before — freelance, agency, side project or student initiative all count.
• Something you’ve built with AI that other people went on to use.
