The Communications team is the voice of the company while being the guardian of the company's reputation. The team is responsible for telling TikTok's story, managing the company reputation, engaging in meaningful conversation, and building positive sentiment for the company. Though our reach is global, our strength lies in leaning into local — understanding, celebrating, and building with the communities around us. On a daily basis, the team serves as a strategic partner for all functions in advancing business objectives.
We’re seeking a savvy, strategic communicator to lead our external storytelling for TikTok's B2B Communications efforts for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Based in Berlin, this is a full‑time role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute B2B comms strategies, messaging, and campaigns to support TikTok’s commercial and partnership teams in the DACH region
- Develop positive stories and drive B2B media opportunities that showcase our brand and positive economic impact
- Build awareness of our partnerships and products through media and industry‑facing initiatives that articulate our mission, values and technology in DACH
- Work cross‑functionally with regional and global communications teams based on regional and market needs to drive clear narratives about our business product, partnerships and vision
- Partner with cross‑functional teams across the DACH market to deliver compelling and impactful events for our clients and business stakeholders
- Build close relationships with and provide regular communications counsel to the leadership of the DACH sales, business marketing, and partnership teams
- • Cultivate relationships with key B2B media to land stories, advance our brand narratives and reach key audiences. Engage partners, third parties, and other KOLs to build credibility and advocacy for the brand
- Look after the local speaker bureau and train and advise spokespeople in preparation for media interviews, press events, speaking engagements, and presentations
- Handle inbound press inquiries and interact with media on a range of issues
- Manage external PR agency to support the above efforts
- Monitor and measure the impact of communications
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience developing, leading and executing communications strategies and programmes in the B2B space
- Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field or equivalent
- Professional fluency in both German and English in order to operate in the region and work cross functionally as English is the working language of the company
- Excellent communications skills, with the ability to think and act at speed
- Solid understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including digital marketing, ad tech, and commerce solutions, and an awareness of how media covers these topics
- Well‑established media relationships relevant to the scope of the role
- Previous experience managing agency teams
