A leading low-cost airline in Berlin is looking for a B1 Licensed Engineer to carry out and certify maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and efficiency standards. The role involves managing defect rectification, supervising teams, and maintaining documentation. Candidates should hold a UK Part 66 B1 license with at least three years of line maintenance experience. We’re looking for a Licensed Engineer to join our team, responsible for carrying out scheduled maintenance tasks in line with approved documentation and operational priorities. You’ll bring strong technical knowledge, proven hand skills, and be confident using both aircraft maintenance manuals and digital reporting systems. The role also includes supervising small teams when required, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
As a Licensed Engineer, you’ll be responsible for carrying out and certifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards for safety and efficiency. You’ll manage defect rectification, prioritise tasks, and supervise maintenance teams to support on-time departures. The role includes accurate completion of documentation, effective communication during handovers, and ensuring correct parts handling and certification. You’ll report technical delays or incidents as required and maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality across all tools, equipment, and work areas.
We’re seeking a qualified professional who holds a UK Part 66 B1 license (or equivalent) with relevant aircraft authorisation. You’ll have up-to-date knowledge of airworthiness legislation and ideally bring at least three years of hands‑on experience in a line maintenance environment. Strong communication skills, a high level of customer focus, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levels are essential. You should be flexible, solution‑focused, and proactive in driving improvements. A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and proficiency in IT systems are also key to success in this role.
This full‑time role will be based in BER and will be days and nights (12 hrs, 4 on, 4 off).
