At SPORTFIVE, data powers intelligent decision-making, advanced analytics, and next-generation fan experiences across global sports. We're accelerating our AI transformation and seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in AI-enabled platforms, financial data, and modern Lakehouse architectures.
Design and maintain scalable Lakehouse architectures and data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric to support analytics and AI products.
Develop and optimize Delta Lake and Data Vault 2.0 models; implement ingestion and transformation for structured and unstructured data.
Ensure data governance and lineage with Microsoft Purview and Unity Catalog across Databricks, Fabric, and Power BI.
Manage secure access via RBAC and identity controls in ADF and Databricks; operate Databricks workspaces including clusters, notebooks, Spark SQL, and Delta Live Tables.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git strategies and Azure DevOps; support migration from legacy systems like Google BigQuery and Matillion.
5+ years of experience as a Data or AI Engineer in Azure environments, with strong Python, SQL, and Unix shell scripting skills for data processing and pipelines.
Proficient in Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experienced in Microsoft Purview and/or Unity Catalog for data governance and lineage, with deep knowledge of Delta Lake, data modeling, and performance tuning.
Skilled in CI/CD practices, Azure DevOps, and Git branching strategies.
Nice to have: First experience with Azure AI services including Cognitive Services, OpenAI, and LLM integration.
