Zusammenfassung

Avanade Deutschland GmbH is seeking an Azure Cloud Architect in Berlin to design and implement scalable cloud platforms for enterprise clients. You will own architectural decisions and lead migrations from on‑premises to Azure, using AKS, Functions, and modern Azure services.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, deliver governance and security standards, and mentor engineers. Fluency in German and English is required for client engagement and internal collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• Strong hands-on experience designing and operating Microsoft Azure solutions for enterprise customers.
• Deep understanding of cloud architectures, distributed systems, and hybrid scenarios.
• Experience with networking, security, and identity concepts (Azure AD/Entra ID, Zero Trust).
• Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Experience with data architectures in cloud environments.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to different audiences.
• Fluent German and English (minimum C1).

• Develop hybrid and edge cloud solutions integrating Azure with enterprise environments.

• Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership for successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Design resilient, scalable, and secure Azure cloud architectures for enterprise customers.
• Lead the design and implementation of Azure Landing Zones that establish a compliant and secure cloud foundation.
• Architect and drive complex migrations of infrastructure, applications, and databases from on-premises environments to Azure.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and modern Azure platform services.
• Develop hybrid and edge cloud solutions that integrate Azure with existing enterprise environments.
• Define cloud governance, security, identity, networking, and compliance standards.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) to automate deployments and platform management and Agentic development and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams.
• Support solution development, client workshops, architecture reviews, and pre‑sales activities.

Your Profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in architecting, implementing, and operating Microsoft Azure solutions
• Deep understanding of cloud and enterprise architectures, distributed systems, and hybrid scenarios
• Experience with networking, security, and identity concepts (e.g. Azure AD / Entra ID, Zero Trust, private networking)
• Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Bicep, Terraform, ARM, Azure DevOps, GitHub)
• Experience with integration and data architectures in cloud environments
• Solid understanding of governance, ALM, and quality frameworks
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and appropriately to different audiences
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Confident and professional interaction with customers and project stakeholders
• Mentoring and coaching mindset toward consultants and engineers
• Experience or solid knowledge in data and AI‑based services on Azure (e.g. Azure AI Services, Copilot integration, analytics, automation)
• Fluency in German and English is required .
