Zusammenfassung

Avanade is seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to design, build and modernize cloud platforms for enterprise clients, leveraging Microsoft Azure with a focus on security, resilience and scalable architectures.

You will lead technical architecture decisions, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with stakeholders across business, PM and operations to deliver secure landing zones, migrations, and cloud-native solutions using AKS, Functions, and IaC tooling.

Qualifikationen

• Strong hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, and operating Microsoft Azure solutions.
• Experience with networking, security, and identity concepts (e.g. Azure AD / Entra ID, Zero Trust, private networking).
• Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Bicep, Terraform, ARM, Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Experience or solid knowledge in data and AI-based services on Azure (e.g. Azure AI Services, Copilot integration, analytics, automation).
• Fluency in German and English (C1) is required.

• Design resilient, scalable, and secure Azure cloud architectures for enterprise customers.
• Lead the design and implementation of Azure Landing Zones that establish a compliant and secure cloud foundation.
• Architect and drive complex migrations of infrastructure, applications, and databases from on-premises environments to Azure.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and modern Azure platform services.
• Develop hybrid and edge cloud solutions that integrate Azure with existing enterprise environments.
• Define cloud governance, security, identity, networking, and compliance standards.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) to automate deployments and platform management and Agentic development and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams.
• Support solution development, client workshops, architecture reviews, and pre-sales activities.

As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will work with enterprise clients to design, build, and modernize cloud platforms leveraging the full power of Microsoft Azure. You will help organizations accelerate their cloud journey while ensuring security, scalability, resilience, and operational excellence.

You act as a key interface between business, project management, development, operations, and external stakeholders, taking ownership of architectural decisions and providing technical leadership across projects.

Your Profile

• Strong hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, and operating Microsoft Azure solutions
• Deep understanding of cloud and enterprise architectures, distributed systems, and hybrid scenarios
• Experience with networking, security, and identity concepts (e.g. Azure AD / Entra ID, Zero Trust, private networking)
• Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Bicep, Terraform, ARM, Azure DevOps, GitHub)
• Experience with integration and data architectures in cloud environments
• Solid understanding of governance, ALM, and quality frameworks
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and appropriately to different audiences
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Confident and professional interaction with customers and project stakeholders
• Mentoring and coaching mindset toward consultants and engineers
• Experience or solid knowledge in data and AI-based services on Azure (e.g. Azure AI Services, Copilot integration, analytics, automation)
• Fluency in German and English is required
