For our client, a leading global company in the chemical industry, we are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Siemens PCS7 for their Schwarzheide location. In this responsible position, you will drive the further development and maintenance of highly complex process control systems and act as a technical expert in the field of automation. Your responsibilities will include: programming and implementing automation solutions: independently developing and programming automation concepts in the PCS7 and S7 environments (including WinCC, TIA Portal, Simatic Batch, and the APL library) based on function blocks and verbal descriptions. You will also be responsible for commissioning and bus technology: performing loop checks, fault analyses, and commissioning automation components (preferably Siemens), as well as supporting bus technologies (Profibus, Modbus, ProfiNET). Maintenance and project management: representing and implementing maintenance projects, supporting the development of long-term maintenance concepts, and preparing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost and budget transparency. Process and method optimization: Analysis of malfunctions and processes, identification of optimization potential, and further development of the KPI dashboard and global maintenance methods. Knowledge transfer and interface work: Technical contact person for maintenance engineers regarding technical diagnostics, conducting training courses and workshops, and representing the field in committees and expert groups.
