Quantum Systems in Rostock, Germany, is seeking a PLC programmer to design, program, commission and maintain automation systems for industrial and maritime applications. You will work with engineers and project managers on turnkey projects, including offshore fieldwork and worldwide travel.

The ideal candidate has a degree or vocational training in automation/electrical engineering or computer science, several years of PLC experience, and fluency in German with good English.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• PLC Programming: You develop and implement software solutions for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial applications.
• Commissioning of Automation Systems: You are responsible for the installation and commissioning of PLC systems, ensuring that they operate correctly and reliably.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: You carry out regular maintenance activities and resolve faults and technical issues as quickly as possible. Due to our maritime background, offshore fieldwork is also required.
• Optimization of Production Processes: You analyze existing systems and develop improvement proposals to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Documentation: You prepare technical documentation, operating manuals, and training materials for users, customers, and colleagues.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: You work closely with engineers, project managers, and other specialists to plan and implement complex projects.

What you bring to the team:

• You have successfully completed a degree or vocational training in automation engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable field, and have several years of professional experience in PLC programming.
