Zusammenfassung

ASRC Federal is seeking a QA automation engineer to join the Software, Applications and Analytics Center of Excellence. You will build cloud-based analytics solutions for NOAA and create robust automated test suites across end-to-end, regression, and performance testing.

The role involves collaboration with distributed teams and applying DevSecOps practices to RESTful services and microservices. You will work with WebDriverIO, Cypress, Playwright and Selenium, leveraging AI tools to enhance

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, CS or related discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience; advanced degrees may substitute (Masters=2 years, Doctorate=6 years).
• 3-5+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Python.
• Experience with WebDriverIO, Cypress or similar E2E QA automation tools.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to enhance automated test scripts.
• Experience in large-scale software testing and verification environments.
• Experience with 508 compliance automated testing (Axe/Cypress) and reporting with Allure.
• Familiarity with Agile workflow methodologies.
• Experience with React and web-based frameworks.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and architectures; exposure to AWS (CodeBuild, CloudFormation).
• CI/CD environments; Node.js; Linux/WSL.

Aufgaben

• Build cloud-based analytics solutions for NOAA as part of ASRC Federal's Center of Excellence.
• Create and enhance automated test suites for end-to-end, regression, acceptance, 508, performance, and scalability testing.
• Work within an enterprise software development team, potentially splitting time on customer systems and problem solving.
• Develop custom cloud-based backend applications for NOAA's Financial Management Data System.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed development and customer teams.
• Support software solutions leveraging DevSecOps, microservices, RESTful APIs, and AI/ML.
• Interact with NOAA leadership and assess business and technical needs with customers and internal teams.
• Follow Agile practices and emphasize testability and data security.

• Build cloud-based analytics solutions for government customer NOAA


• Use automated test tools such as WebdriverIO, Axe, Allure, Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress


• Create and enhance automated test suites for end-to-end system, regression, acceptance, 508 compliance, performance, and scalability testing


• Work as part of an enterprise software development team, potentially splitting time working directly on customer systems and solving customer problems


• Develop custom cloud-based backend applications for NOAA's Financial Management Data System


• Collaborate with geographically distributed development and customer teams


• Support software solutions leveraging DevSecOps, microservices, RESTful APIs, and AI/ML


• Interact regularly with all levels of the NOAA organization, including Senior Executives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years of experience; advanced degrees may be substituted for experience: Masters = 2 years, Doctorate = 6 years


• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline


• 3-5+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Python programming languages


• Technical knowledge and experience with WebDriverIO, Cypress or equivalent E2E QA automation tools


• Experience leveraging AI tooling to enhance and maintain automated test scripts


• Experience in a large-scale software testing and verification environment


• Experience with 508 compliance automated testing using frameworks like Axe, Cypress or similar, with a reporting tool like Allure


• Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team


• Experience with Agile workflow methodologies


• Experience with web-based frameworks such as React


• Experience with automated test and performance evaluation strategies for microservices


• Understanding of cloud-based technologies and architectures


• Exposure to AWS, including CodeBuild and CloudFormation, Node.js, Linux/WSL, and CI/CD environments


• Highly organized and punctual


• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced working environment


• Ability to understand and prioritize customer needs


• Ability to initiate action independently after receiving general guidance/direction


• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

• US Citizen able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance required


• Demonstrated expertise in Federal Government Data Science


• Commitment to NOAA's mission; prior experience working for NOAA highly desired

• Understanding of Agile Methodology, Design for Testability, Application Security, and Data Security
