A global publishing company is seeking an Associate Scientific Editor to assist researchers with their publications. The role involves improving author experiences, evaluating manuscripts, and managing the editorial process to enhance publication success. The ideal candidate should hold a PhD in a relevant field, have a background in publishing, and possess strong communication skills. At STM Journals, we collaborate with researchers to facilitate the publication of their impactful scientific discoveries, with a focus on rigorous peer review, ethics, and reproducibility. In support of our portfolio of 2700+ and Open Access scientific journals, you will actively contribute to advancing science, improving health outcomes, and fostering equitable participation in publishing.
The role of Scientific Editor sits within the Author Heroes team. Members of our team use scientific expertise and problem‑solving skills to improve the author experience and help authors find a suitable home for their paper.
Content evaluation is based on questions such as: Is the article submitted within the aims and scope the journal(s)? Does the science make sense? Do the results support the main conclusions? Have the authors chosen an appropriate method? Is the manuscript of sufficient quality? Is this the right journal for this work, or could the authors improve their manuscript to increase their odds of success at another journal?
