Interpath, an international advisory firm, is expanding its Restructuring & Advisory practice in Germany. We seek an Associate Manager to lead and deliver multi-stakeholder restructuring engagements from client teams.

You will work with experienced MDs to rapidly diagnose liquidity issues, develop robust financial models, and propose actionable strategies for under-performing businesses and stakeholders, including cross-border considerations.

Qualifikationen

• Strong academic background with experience in a Restructuring team at a leading consultancy or Big Four.
• Strong financial analysis skills and advanced experience in building a range of financial and 3-statement financial models.
• Native or Business fluent German & English (C1) is essential. Additional European languages including French and Spanish are advantageous

Our German business is lead by a team of highly experienced MDs focused on delivering advisory services across Restructuring, Debt Advisory and Value Creation. Our MDs in Germany collaborate closely with their colleagues across Europe and globally to provide solutions to the complex issues facing business today.

As an Associate Manager in the Restructuring & Advisory team, you will work with experienced colleagues to deliver multi-stakeholder, international and domestic restructuring & advisory engagements. The successful candidate will work within client facing teams to offer direct assistance to companies that are under-performing or experiencing a liquidity crisis.

Responsibilities will include:

• Stabilizing a client’s financial and operational performance
• Rapidly understanding current situation & prospects including a diagnostic assessment of key business and market issues and liquidity forecasting
• Assessment of current business plans & financial projections, identifying risks and opportunities
• Creation of robust alternative solutions for the businesses and its stakeholders
• Writing & implementing restructuring plans, including the creation of integrated financial models and short-term cash flow forecasting tools

Examples of projects include:

• Financial and Operational Restructuring
• Balance Sheet Restructuring
• Distressed M&A
• Cash & liquidity management and forecasting
• Cross-border wind-downs & negotiations with Worker Councils
• Preparation and validation of business plans
• Independent business reviews
• Short term cash flow forecasting
• Reporting Cost saving initiatives & Profit Improvement

Requirements

• Strong academic background with experience in a Restructuring team at a leading consultancy or Big Four
• Strong financial analysis skills and advanced experience in building a range of financial and 3-statement financial models
• Prior experience in some of the following; Creating Independent Business Reviews (IBRs), Liquidity analysis, Market assessment, Capital structure analysis, Options review and Cash flow analysis
• Native or Business fluent German & English (C1) is essential. Additional European languages including French and Spanish are advantageous
