Houlihan Lokey Germany AG is seeking an Associate to join the Debt Advisory team within Capital Solutions, focusing on corporate clients across financing products.

You will lead transaction workstreams, prepare materials, model financials, and support origination while mentoring junior analysts in Frankfurt.

Fluency in German and English, strong analytical skills, and 3–4 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in Debt Advisory, Rating Advisory, Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, or similar role.
• Strong technical expertise in financial modelling, financial analysis and research.
• Fluency in German and English with advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Lead selected transaction workstreams and support the day-to-day execution of financing advisory mandates.
• Coordinate and lead internal deal teams on CIMs, management presentations, marketing materials, and other client deliverables.
• Support the analysis and negotiation of financing terms and documentation, and help formulate recommendations for clients.
• Prepare, analyse, and present historical and projected financial models in support of ongoing engagements.
• Assist in originating new client engagements for the Capital Solutions team across various jurisdictions, industries, and situations.
• Support relationship coverage of active debt investors, including banks, credit funds, and other alternative asset managers.
• Coordinate third-party workstreams with other professional advisors and perform business due diligence.
• Mentor and support junior analysts.

The Capital Solutions Group comprises about 200 professionals worldwide and offers tailored financing alternatives and strategic financial advice. The Debt Capital Solutions team is looking to add an Associate to its Debt Advisory team, focusing on corporate clients across a wide range of financing products, including classical syndicated bank financing, term loan B and high‑yield bonds, private placements, asset‑based lending, and private debt instruments such as unitranches and growth capital financing.

Responsibilities

• Lead selected transaction workstreams and support the overall day‑to‑day execution of financing advisory mandates (e.g., acquisition financings, refinancings)
• Coordinate and lead internal deal teams on the preparation of confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing materials, and other client deliverables
• Support the analysis and negotiation of financing terms and documentation, and help formulate recommendations for clients
• Prepare, analyse, and present historical and projected financial models in support of ongoing engagements
• Assist in originating new client engagements for the Capital Solutions team across various jurisdictions, industries, and situations
• Support relationship coverage of active debt investors, including banks, credit funds, and other alternative asset managers
• Coordinate third‑party workstreams with other professional advisors and perform business due diligence
• Mentor and support junior analysts

Qualifications

• Strong academic background and 3–4 years of experience in Debt Advisory, Rating Advisory, Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, or a similar role
• High technical expertise, including strong financial modelling, financial analysis, and research skills
• Fluency in German and English, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
