Job Description
The Associate Audio Producer supports the creation, production, and delivery of high-quality audio content that helps individuals and families come unto Christ. This role assists in producing sacred and inspirational music, podcasts, narration, voiceover, and other audio projects for the Church’s global audience.
Through collaboration with producers, musicians, engineers, translators, and content managers, the Associate Audio Producer ensures that each production reflects the Church’s voice—Christ-centered, doctrinally sound, global in scope, and inspiring in tone—consistent with the Church’s Permanent Brand Guide.
Responsibilities
- Audio Project Support: Assist senior producer in planning, coordinating, and executing audio projects including recording sessions, mixing, mastering, and distribution of music.
- Production Coordination: Manage production schedules, session logistics, and communication among composers, musicians, engineers, vocal talent, and internal partners to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Quality Control: Review audio deliverables to ensure alignment with brand standards, technical specifications. Support consistency in sound quality, tone, and emotional impact.
- Asset Management: Organize, name, and archive audio files, stems, and session materials according to Church digital asset management protocols. Ensure metadata accuracy and accessibility across teams.
- Localization & Translation Support: Coordinate translation or re-voicing of audio content for global areas, working with translators and international production teams to ensure cultural sensitivity and clarity.
- Technical & Creative Collaboration: Work alongside sound engineers, musicians, editors, and producers to solve creative and technical challenges. Provide support in pre-production planning, on-site recording, and post-production review.
- Vendor & Talent Coordination: Support procurement and contracting processes for studios, musicians, voice talent, and vendors. Manage documentation, invoices, and production agreements.
- Process Documentation: Track production progress, update schedules, maintain reports, and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Mission Alignment: Ensure all audio work communicates messages of hope, faith, and discipleship, values, and visual/audio brand identity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Music, Audio Production, Music Technology, Media Production, Communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: 2–4 years of professional experience in audio production, broadcast, podcasting, or music production.
- Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Audition, or Reaper.
- Understanding of mixing/mastering processes and audio asset preparation for streaming, broadcast, or archival purposes.
- Experience working with multilingual or global production workflows preferred.
- Good knowledge of Music and Singers Styles (classical, musical, opera, pop, ethnic and traditional).
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable collaborating across departments and cultures.
- Technical aptitude with recording equipment, editing tools, and asset management systems.
- Ability to discern correct pitch and vocal technique and approach.
- Ability to coach singers when needed.
- Ability to keep Church quality standards when dealing with vendors.
- Ability to keep focused during long day recording sessions.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Sensitive to doctrinal, cultural, and linguistic nuance in Church content.
