Job summary

Under Armour in Germany seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, coach teammates, and drive performance in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will manage payroll, scheduling, merchandising, and customer experience while ensuring brand standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a focus on delivering results through a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in a retail environment.
• Local language fluency required; basic English is a plus.
• Available to work full time hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (hand-held and mobile devices).
• Strong communication skills.
• Can stand, lift and walk while handling cartons up to 25 lbs/12 kg.
• Knowledge of employment laws including compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive the achievement of sales, profitability and other key objectives for the store.
• Recruit, hire, coach and retain a high-performing team.
• Analyze daily sales trends to make real-time strategic decisions.
• Manage payroll and schedule adjustments to maximize productivity.
• Direct merchandising moves to maximize presentation and maintain brand standards.
• Understand loss prevention standards and monitor store audit compliance and results.
• Lead and/or rotate ownership of key areas to gain experience across the business.
• Support omni-channel efforts through Apps, social campaigns and athlete contests.
• Deliver a compelling vision and core competencies; drive teammate engagement.
• Recognize and resolve teammate performance issues and communicate issues to Store Manager.
• Partner with Store Manager on enforcement of policies and procedures.

Your Impact

We Count On Our Assistant Store Managers To

• Support the business plan by driving the achievement of sales, profitability, and other key objectives for the store
• Recruit, hire, coach and retain a high-performing team
• Analyze daily sales trends to make real-time strategic business decisions
• Manage payroll and schedule adjustments to maximize productivity
• Direct merchandising moves to maximize presentation and maintain brand standards of an organized and appealing sales floor
• Understand loss prevention standards and monitor store audit compliance and results
• Lead and/or rotate ownership of key areas such as Talent, Visuals, Operations to gain experience across all areas of the business
• Support omni-channel efforts through the promotion of our Apps and Social campaigns and athlete contests
• Deliver a compelling vision and purpose encompassing UA’s Core Competencies, and functional behaviors
• Drive teammate engagement and development by recognizing and rewarding teammates for outstanding performance
• Recognize and resolve teammate performance issues
• Communicate priority issues to the Store Manager in a timely manner and collaborate on solutions
• Partner with Store Manager on reinforcement of Under Armour Policies and Procedures
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements
