The position: The Department of Accounting & Sustainability Reporting at Goethe University Frankfurt invites expressions of interest for a fixed-term postdoctoral position, which is comparable to a non-tenure-track assistant professorship. The position runs for an initial three years, with an option to extend. It is designed to launch a research career. You'll have most of your time for your own research agenda, support to publish in top journals, and a moderate teaching load. The start date is flexible.
Who we're looking for:
Who we are: We are a dynamic and international department. We do empirical and theoretical research on financial reporting, managerial accounting, and sustainability reporting, with a shared interest in corporate transparency, disclosure regulation, and the economic effects of reporting. Our faculty publish in leading accounting and finance journals and are part of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center TRR 266 “Accounting for Transparency,” one of Europe's largest accounting research networks.
Why Frankfurt: Frankfurt is at the center of European finance and reporting regulation. The European Central Bank, the Deutsche Bundesbank, the ISSB's Frankfurt office, Deutsche Börse, and the SAFE Leibniz Institute are all here. That makes it a unique place to study accounting, sustainability disclosure, and regulation up close. Our department runs an active research seminar series, offers a structured PhD program, and closely collaborates with leading institutions in Frankfurt, Germany, Europe, and beyond. English is the working language of the department.
