A leading art-book publisher in Cologne is seeking an Editor with a strong focus on art history. The role involves developing new titles, managing multilingual book publications, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have years of editorial experience, a Master’s degree in Art History, and excellent communication skills in German and English. Development of new titles with a focus on art history
Independent and timely project management for multilingual book publications, from budgeting and scheduling to printing
Close collaboration with authors, translators, freelancers, and editors from Germany and abroad, as well as international institutions and image agencies
Handling image, text, artist, and photographer rights, including image procurement
Proofreading and editing of texts
Internal coordination with the graphics, production, press, and sales departments
Supporting the editorial director in projects and tasks
