Location and Travel

This position will be located in Copenhagen (preferred) due to proximity to main customers. Alternatively in Jutland. It is 100% Remote – customer visits expected on 2 days per week; 2 trips annually to Germany and UK for team meetings, and once a quarter to Norway.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design IN and WIN of Vishay Semiconductors and Passive Components
• Maximize the future business of all Vishay components by identifying all potential sockets in applications and leveraging the BOM content toward Vishay’s broad portfolio
• Define new products and derivatives in close cooperation with Marketing and R&D
• Act as internal technical interface between Sales, Marketing and R&D
• Manage projects in cooperation with Sales and Marketing to achieve product qualification and revenue
• Prepare and perform technical and application training

Roles And Responsibilities Of The Area Sales Manager Role

• Report to the Director Sales North Europe
• Responsible for defining and executing on a strategy and growth plan for distributor branches and defined focus customers in the assigned area.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within Distributor branches at all levels
• Be the primary interface for Branch Managers, Product Managers and defined Focus customers
• Grow the channel business in the assigned area
• Conduct QBRs and regular distribution product training for key distributor branches
• Drive POS revenue growth, gain market share, fill and manage the design pipeline, increase project wins.
• Cooperate with Regional Marketing in EMEA to increase branch / distributor engagement and focus accounts to overachieve growth targets
• Understand Vishay’s share and ranking at the distributor, the branches and dedicated focus accounts and increase mind share to accelerate profitable revenue growth.
• Define branch and Focus accounts strategy together with internal stakeholders

What You Will Bring Along

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or Physics would be a plus
• Previous experience (5 years +) in sales or technical product marketing
• Knowledge of the Danish and Norwegian market
• Excellent Danish and English language skills, Norwegian is a plus
• MS Office skills
• Proven communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a 100% remote capacity
