OnTrac is seeking an Area Manager to oversee all sort activities and volume within a designated facility. You will lead a team of Package Handlers, schedule work, and drive improvements in safety and efficiency at the Dayton facility.

This onsite role requires at least 2 years in logistics with leadership experience, strong data-summarization abilities, and solid MS Office skills. Flexibility for extended hours is expected as 24/7 operations may occur.

Qualifikationen

• GED/Diploma required; BA/BS preferred in related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of industry experience (logistics/shipping/3PL) with at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Ability to evaluate and summarize data and present answers.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and mathematical skills.
• Effective communication and feedback skills; experience with hiring and performance evaluations.

Shift(s): PM Shift - Friday to Monday (Schedule subject to change based on the needs of the business)

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $59,840 - $74,800, with full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $59,840- $89,760. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Employment Logistics:

As an Area Manager for OnTrac, you will report directly to the Operations Manager of the facility and be responsible for managing all the sort activities and volume within an assigned area. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change to enhance business outcomes within the operation.

The Must-Haves:

• GED/Diploma required, BA/BS college degree in related discipline preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
• Ability to effectively evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills
• Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
• Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees

Your Mission in Motion:

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area in the facility to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings, keeping employees informed of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities. Maintain an open line of communication to engage employees.
• Record and manage the departures/arrivals of and the flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
• Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.
