Job Description
- Extrusion & Compounding: You will plan, coordinate, and conduct laboratory tests on extrusion, compounding, and mixing processes, and evaluate the results.
- Customer Applications: You will process customer and contract measurements in the application lab and develop solutions for challenging real-world problems.
- Application Development: You will develop new applications and methods and optimize existing processes for various materials and customer requirements.
- Product Development & Validation: You will contribute your application expertise to development projects, define technical requirements, and conduct tests and product validations under realistic conditions.
- Project Management: You will take responsibility for technical projects and work packages - from defining objectives and planning, through coordinating the relevant interfaces, to on-time implementation and documentation of the results.
- Technical Documentation: You will present test results in a clear and understandable manner and prepare application reports as well as technical documentation for customers and the sales team.
- Training & Demonstration: You will share your expertise in customer training sessions, internal training programs, and equipment demonstrations.
- Technical Customer Support: You will support international customers and sales teams with technical and application-related questions - from the initial inquiry to the right solution.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: You will work closely with Product Management, Sales, R&D, Service, and Software Development, and directly incorporate insights from the lab and customer projects into the further development of our solutions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or scientific field, such as plastics engineering, process engineering, polymer engineering, materials science, chemical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Ideally, practical experience in plastics processing, particularly in extrusion, compounding, mixing, or rheology
- Enthusiasm for experimental laboratory work and a passion for investigating technical relationships through hands-on experimentation
- Interest in developing concrete technical solutions and applications based on customer requirements
- An independent, structured, and analytical approach to work, as well as a passion for driving your own projects forward
- Strong communication skills and a passion for collaborating in interdisciplinary and international teams
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, for example for customer training, technical projects or trade shows
- Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
