T&S (Technology & Strategy) seeks a Senior AI Platform & Full-Stack Engineer to advance a strategic AI platform modernization in a global life sciences setting. You will secure and optimize backend and frontend components, migrate to AWS, and implement robust CI/CD and testing strategies.

Join a cross-functional international team, translate Figma designs into scalable UI, and contribute to long-term platform sustainability with best practices in security and reliability.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI in production environments
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservice-based architectures
• Practical experience with Docker containerization and cloud-native deployment
• Good knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure deployment concepts
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and QA practices

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior AI Platform & Full-Stack Engineer to join our team and support a strategic initiative focused on the hardening, modernization, cloud migration, and frontend integration of an existing AI platform within a global life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement software security best practices, including input validation, secrets management, authentication, and secure coding standards across the application stack
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using FastAPI and Node.js to support AI-driven applications and workflows
• Analyze existing application architecture and propose technical improvements to enhance reliability, observability, and operational efficiency
• Containerize application components using Docker and implement optimized multi-stage build strategies
• Lead the migration of application environments and services to AWS cloud infrastructure
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps to enable automated deployment processes
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and API testing frameworks using pytest, Jest, and related tools
• Perform code quality assessments through static analysis, linting, formatting, and automated quality controls
• Translate Figma designs, design systems, and component specifications into responsive frontend applications using TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Develop user interfaces for AI-powered applications, including conversational experiences, AI dashboards, and data visualization solutions
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, designers, and technical stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation covering system architecture, API specifications, deployment procedures, and operational best practices
• Support knowledge transfer activities and contribute to long-term platform sustainability and maintainability

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in backend and full-stack software development
• Hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI in production environments
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservice-based architectures
• Practical experience with Docker containerization and cloud-native application deployment
• Good knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure deployment concepts
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and quality assurance practices
• Experience with frontend development using TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Ability to understand and implement Figma-based UI/UX designs
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Angular
• Experience building conversational AI interfaces and AI-powered user experiences
• Knowledge of software security frameworks, OWASP principles, and secure development lifecycle practices
• Experience working in regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, or Manufacturing
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban
• Experience supporting large-scale cloud migration and application modernization projects
• German language skills are considered a strong advantage
