Flexoptix GmbH in Darmstadt is seeking an Android Developer (m/f/d) to join our international team. You will own native Android development in Kotlin, from design to Play Store release, and collaborate with iOS, backend, hardware and QA teams.

You should have 3+ years of native Android experience, strong Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and modern architecture knowledge, plus familiarity with Android Studio, Git and CI pipelines. English fluency is required.

Qualifikationen

• At least 3 years of professional experience in native Android development with Kotlin.
• Solid knowledge of Jetpack Compose, Material3, Coroutines/Flow and modern architecture patterns.
• Experience with Android Studio, Git, and Jenkins Pipelines.
• Confidence in unit testing and Scrum/agile development methods.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating their output.
• Advantageous: Kotlin Multiplatform, Firebase, Java, iOS/Swift familiarity.

• Development and maintenance of our native Android app in Kotlin, from design to Play Store release.
• Hands-on experience integrating mobile applications with embedded devices.
• Implementation of adaptive user interfaces based on Figma designs.
• Contributing to key technical decisions, clean code and code reviews.

Language: English - Fluent (C1)

• At least 3 years of professional experience in native Android development with Kotlin
• Solid knowledge of Jetpack Compose, Material3, Coroutines/Flow and modern architecture patterns
• Experience in using tools such as Android Studio, Git, Jenkins Pipelines
• Confident in testing (unit) and agile development methods (Scrum)
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude) and critical evaluation of their output
• Advantageous: Kotlin Multiplatform, Firebase, Java, iOS/Swift familiarity
