Job summary

Whitehall Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Android Developer (German speaking) to join a key client in Germany. You will work on modern Android applications using Kotlin, integrating REST APIs, and delivering robust mobile solutions in an international, Agile environment.

The role requires 5+ years of mobile development, strong Kotlin skills, and good English and German communication abilities. You will collaborate with backend teams and QA to ensure reliable and scalable apps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Android development fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with REST API integrations and backend connectivity
• Familiarity with Android architecture patterns, Kotlin Coroutines, and modern Android development tools
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work independently or in a team
• Professional working proficiency in German and English
• Nice to have: Jetpack Compose for modern Android UI development; Retrofit and OkHttp; automated testing practices and frameworks

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve Android applications using Kotlin, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code

• Handle API requests and responses, including error handling and network-related issues
• Collaborate with backend developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable mobile solutions

Project

The project focuses on developing and maintaining modern Android applications, ensuring seamless connectivity with backend services through REST API integrations. You’ll collaborate with backend developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders in an international Agile environment, contributing to the continuous improvement of mobile application functionality, performance, and reliability.

• API integration: REST APIs, Retrofit, OkHttp
• Testing: Automated testing

Your responsibilities
