Zusammenfassung

HDI Group in Hannover is seeking a data-focused professional to automate testing and deployment for R packages, APIs, and Shiny apps, while managing Azure resources.

You will design testing strategies for R packages, monitor pricing/geoservice apps, and apply GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and API management to optimise cloud workflows in an insurance data environment. Excellent German/English skills required.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in (Business) Informatics, Statistics, Data Science, or comparable qualification.
• Hands-on projects in data science/BI; GitLab CI/CD and Docker experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of insurance processes; domain knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of data modelling, ETL, data workflows; cloud/API experience preferred.
• Strong programming skills in R, SQL, and Python.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; team player.
• German and English proficient, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Automation of testing and deployment processes for R packages, Plumber APIs, and Shiny web applications

• Experience with the following tools is an advantage: GitLab CI, Harbor, Nexus, and API management

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Statistics, Data Science, or a comparable qualification
• Hands‑on project experience in data science, data warehouse, or BI environments; experience with GitLab CI/CD and Docker is an advantage
• Strong conceptual understanding of insurance‑specific processes as well as solid knowledge of common data science methodologies. Initial experience with insurance lines of business and product knowledge within a data domain is a plus
• Good knowledge of data modelling, data workflows, performance optimisation, and ETL processes; ideally in combination with cloud technologies and APIs
• Strong technical mindset with above‑average, hands‑on experience in software development (in particular R, SQL, and Python)
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand complex topics
• High quality and excellence standards in the delivery of projects. Strong communication and teamwork skills, combined with a high level of initiative, commitment, and entrepreneurial thinking
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
