Apple Inc. is seeking an Analog IC Design Intern to support investigations of advanced circuit architectures and benchmark them against existing solutions.

You will gain insight into industry-standard IC design tools and experience in analog design in advanced CMOS technologies. As a member of the AMS team, you will contribute to state-of-the-art front-end and data-converter IPs while collaborating with seniors.

Qualifikationen

• Strong knowledge of transistor-level analog/mixed-signal design.
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso for schematic design and validation.
• Understanding of ADCs, DACs, PLLs, filters, bandgap references, and op-amps.
• Familiarity with small-signal analysis, feedback, and noise analysis.
• Knowledge of stability, linearity, and low-noise techniques.
• Matlab or Python experience is a plus.
• Architectural/system-level modeling of AMS subsystems is a plus.

Description

We are looking for an analog/mixed-signal IC design engineer with in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art analog IC design & verification tools. As a member of our dynamic group, you will have the rare and exciting opportunity to craft upcoming products that will delight and encourage millions of Apple’s customers every single day.Our AMS team works on state-of-the-art analog front-end and data converter IPs.

Responsibilities

• As Analog IC Design Intern you will support investigations of advanced circuit architectures or design methodologies and benchmark them against existing solutions. You will gain insight in industry standard IC design tools and methodologies, and experience in analog design in advanced CMOS technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of transistor level design
• Knowledge of schematic design and validation methodology using Cadence Virtuoso
• Solid understanding of analog/mixed-signal circuit blocks such as ADCs, DACs, PLLs, filters, bandgap references, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, OpAmps, comparators and switched-cap circuits
• Deep knowledge of analog/mixed-signal design techniques such as small-signal analysis, feedback loop theory and noise analysis
• Deep knowledge of analog/mixed-signal concepts such as stability, linearity, mismatch mitigation, low-power and low-noise techniques
• Experience with Matlab or Python is a plus
• Experience in the architectural design and system-level modeling of a complete analog/mixed-signal subsystem (e.g. as part of a PhD thesis) is a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in PhD degree program in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
