Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for automated material handling systems in a semiconductor fab in Germany. You will service and troubleshoot AMHS equipment including OHT vehicles, UTS systems, and conveyors, ensuring high uptime and safe operations.

Required are formal technical education and 1–5 years in automation maintenance; German language is a plus; English proficiency is essential for cross‑site collaboration.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) equipment, including Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT) vehicles, Under-Track Storage (UTS) systems, conveyors, and substrate and film frame sorting systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues affecting material transport and wafer handling operations to ensure reliable system performance and minimal downtime.
• Monitor system performance, respond promptly to alarms, and restore equipment functionality in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions and maintain operational efficiency.
• Support installation, commissioning, qualification, and upgrade activities for AMHS and sorter equipment in collaboration with vendors and engineering teams to ensure successful deployment and optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with fab safety requirements and operational standards.

Requirements

• Completed Ausbildung, diploma, or degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1-5 years of experience in automation maintenance within a manufacturing or semiconductor environment; recent graduates are welcome.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions accurately, with disciplined documentation practices.
• Proactive mindset to identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work in confined spaces (less than 4 feet clearance) and at heights of up to 4 meters on AMHS highway levels for equipment recovery activities.
• Understanding of semiconductor cleanroom protocols and EHS standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in German is a strong plus.
