ALTEN Consulting Services GmbH is seeking a highly skilled aerospace compliance engineer to define and maintain the UAV certification strategy under SORA and related frameworks. You will develop and manage airworthiness documentation and checklists, and coordinate with authorities and internal design teams.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in aerospace or a related field, deep experience in aerospace engineering, and fluent English.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong aerospace engineering experience.
• Familiar with aviation regulatory frameworks (EASA Part 21, SORA, CS-UAS, ISO 21384).

Aufgaben

• Define and maintain the UAV certification strategy under SORA and related frameworks.
• Develop and manage compliance checklists and airworthiness documentation.
• Interface with regulatory authorities and design teams to ensure safety alignment.
• Support configuration management, change control, and traceability throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with system engineering and safety teams on safety assessments and regulatory input.
• Lead preparation of airworthiness deliverables for approvals and dossiers.

• define and maintain the certification strategy for our UAV systems under SORA and applicable civil/military frameworks
• develop and manage compliance checklists and airworthiness documentation (ICAs, tech files, OSO matrices)
• interface with regulatory authorities and internal design teams to ensure alignment with applicable safety and regulatory standards
• support and lead configuration management, change control, and traceability throughout the product lifecycle
• collaborate with system engineering and safety teams to review safety assessments and integrate regulatory perspectives
• lead the preparation of airworthiness-related deliverables for operational approvals and technical dossiers

Be our forward thinker

YOU...

• have a completed degree (Master) in aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable program
• have in-depth practical experience in aerospace engineering
• are familiar with aviation regulatory frameworks (e.g., EASA Part 21, SORA, CS-UAS, ISO 21384), configuration and change management, compliance verification, and continued airworthiness principles
• have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, document version control tools (e.g., Git, SharePoint, or equivalents)
• have ideally worked with Polarion, Siemens Teamcenter (or comparable PLM tools)
• are fluent in English, both written and spoken
