Location
The selected person may be based in Portugal (Salemas, Loures) and will be required to travel nationally and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Teach theoretical and practical type training courses as outlined in the Part 66 syllabus, covering aerodynamics, avionics, propulsion, and maintenance practices.
- Prepare and maintain lesson plans, training materials, and assessments in line with the Maintenance Training Organization Exposition (MTOE).
- Follow EASA Part 147 and Part 66 standards for training delivery, assessments, and record‑keeping.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of aviation regulations and technological developments.
- Conduct examinations and practical assessments in compliance with EASA Part‑147.A.105 and 147.A.110.
- Evaluate student performance to ensure they meet Part 66 certification standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure training materials reflect regulatory and industry best practices.
- Provide feedback to improve training programmes and participate in audits and reviews to maintain organisational approval.
- Offer mentorship, technical support, and professional guidance to trainees and junior instructors.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- EASA Part‑66 AML (B1 and/or B2) with current type rating(s) on relevant aircraft.
- Strong understanding of EASA Part 147 and Part 66 regulations and AMCs.
- Minimum 5 years of certifying or maintenance experience on commercial aircraft.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
Desirable Requirements
- Instructional technique training (in accordance with EASA 147.A.105(f)).
- Experience as a Part‑147 Instructor and/or Practical Assessor.
- Experience in course development and e‑learning methodologies.
- Knowledge of additional languages.
