Merz Therapeutics GmbH is seeking an AI Strategy Manager to shape enterprise-wide AI adoption and accelerate value realization across the organization. • University degree in Business, Digital, Technology, Data Science or related field.
• Several years of experience in Digital Transformation, AI, Strategy or Management Consulting.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, governance frameworks and responsible AI principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in international environments.

• Develop and evolve the global AI strategy and roadmap aligned with priorities.
• Identify, assess and prioritize AI opportunities across functions and markets.
• Advance enterprise AI governance, standards and responsible AI principles.
• Manage the enterprise AI portfolio including business case development and scaling decisions.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Medical, Marketing, HR, Finance, Legal, IT and Data & Analytics teams.
• Drive adoption through learning initiatives and enablement programs across the organization.
• Represent Merz Therapeutics in Group AI initiatives and foster collaboration across the broader organization.
• Define success metrics, measure adoption and business impact, and report to support future investment and scaling decisions.

As our AI Strategy Manage r, you will help shape and accelerate the enterprise-wide adoption of Artificial Intelligence across Merz Therapeutics.

Working across business functions, Digital, IT and Merz Group stakeholders, you will translate AI opportunities into scalable, compliant and value-driven solutions while helping establish the governance, capabilities and structures required for long-term success.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and continuously evolve the global AI strategy and roadmap, aligned with business priorities and digital transformation objectives.

• Opportunity Prioritization: Identify, assess and prioritize AI opportunities across functions and markets, translating business needs into scalable use cases and measurable outcomes.

• Governance & Standards: Further develop the enterprise AI operating model, governance framework and standards, ensuring compliance and responsible AI principles are embedded across initiatives.

• Portfolio Management: Manage the enterprise AI portfolio, including business case development, prioritization, pilot evaluation and scaling decisions.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT and Data & Analytics teams to align priorities and drive execution.

• Adoption & Capability Building: Drive adoption through learning initiatives, best-practice sharing, communities and enablement programs across the organization.Governance & Standards: Further develop the enterprise AI operating model, governance framework and standards, ensuring compliance and responsible AI principles are embedded across initiatives.

• Merz Group Collaboration: Represent Merz Therapeutics in Merz Group AI initiatives and foster collaboration, transparency and knowledge sharing across the broader organization.

• Value Realization & Reporting: Define success metrics, measure adoption and business impact, and provide reporting and recommendations to support future investment and scaling decisions.

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree in Business, Digital, Technology, Data Science or a related field.

• Several years of experience in Digital Transformation, AI, Strategy, Innovation or Management Consulting, including the development and implementation of enterprise-wide AI or digital strategies.

• Strong understanding of AI technologies, governance frameworks and responsible AI principles, combined with the ability to translate business challenges into scalable solutions and measurable business value.

• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional transformation initiatives and building alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, including senior leadership.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills in an international environment.

• Fluent English language skills.

• Experience within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, life sciences or another highly regulated industry is considered an advantage.
