ALTEN is hiring in Germany for an AI engineering transformation role. You will analyze current engineering and software development processes to uncover AI-driven improvements, identify and prioritize AI use cases, and design AI agents to optimize workflows across engineering teams.

You will collaborate across development groups to define scalable agent-based frameworks, governance concepts and reusable AI workflows, while supporting pilot projects and integration into existing toolchains.

Formación

• Experience in software development, AI consulting or engineering process optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI technologies and AI agents.
• Hands-on with Copilot tools and modern AI-assisted development approaches.
• Familiarity with Azure AI Services and cloud-based AI solutions.
• Ability to design AI agent frameworks and governance concepts.

• analyze current engineering and software development processes to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements
• identify, evaluate and prioritize AI use cases within software and engineering teams
• design, develop and implement AI agents to optimize engineering workflows and development activities
• define scalable agent-based frameworks including human review, approval and governance mechanisms
• develop reusable AI workflows, templates, prompt libraries and best practices for engineering organizations
• support the integration of AI capabilities into existing software and hardware development toolchains
• collaborate with development teams to establish efficient AI-supported engineering processes
• conduct workshops, coaching sessions and knowledge transfer activities to enable successful AI adoption
• support pilot projects and proof-of-concept initiatives for AI-enabled engineering solutions
• establish governance, compliance and quality assurance concepts for AI-generated outputs
• work closely with stakeholders to drive organizational change and increase AI maturity within development environments

Qualifications

YOU...

• have successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a comparable field
• have professional experience in software development, AI consulting, AI transformation or engineering process optimization
• possess strong knowledge of Generative AI technologies, AI agents and modern AI-assisted development approaches
• have hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot in professional environments
• are familiar with Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry and cloud-based AI solutions
• have experience designing and implementing AI agent frameworks and agent-based architectures
• understand Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and knowledge management concepts
• have experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Git and modern CI/CD toolchains
• communicate confidently in English; German language skills are considered a plus
