NETCONOMY’s Dortmund team is seeking an AI Engineer to drive Generative AI solutions and agentic systems. You will design end-to-end AI pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and perform PoCs to prove feasibility for clients.

Expect hands-on work with cloud AI services, Docker/Kubernetes, and evaluation of new AI models and frameworks while staying ahead of industry trends. The role offers flexible working models and strong opportunities for growth.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience in Applied AI or ML in industry.
• Proficiency in building Generative AI and Agentic applications at scale.
• Direct experience with agent development tools (LangGraph, Google ADK, Agno).
• Experience evaluating emerging AI models, frameworks and tools.
• Extensive knowledge of Cloud AI offerings on GCP/AWS/Azure with ready-to-use services and AutoML.
• Strong and assertive communication skills.
• Passion for GenAI and agentic systems trends.

As an AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and implementing cutting-edge Generative AI solutions and intelligent agentic systems. Your Job’s Key Responsibilities Are

• Designing and implementing end-to-end Generative AI solutions, AI agents, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines to address business challenges and opportunities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, providing technical expertise, and delivering scalable and robust AI solutions
• Conducting research and evaluation of emerging AI models, agentic frameworks, and development kits
• Working independently on Proof of Concepts (PoC) to validate and showcase the feasibility of proposed solutions
• Conducting direct client communication to understand their needs and tailor AI-driven solutions accordingly

Your Skills

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in Applied AI or Machine Learning in the industry
• Proficiency in building Generative AI and Agentic applications at scale, with expertise in using agentic frameworks, vector databases, grounding, and other relevant concepts
• Direct experience or strong familiarity with agent development (e.g. LangGraph, Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), Agno)
• Proven experience in research and evaluation of emerging AI technologies, models, and frameworks
• Extensive knowledge of Cloud AI offerings on one of the Hyperscalers (GCP, AWS or Azure), including ready-to-use AI services, AutoML approaches, and custom model development
• Strong and assertive communication skills
• Passion for keeping up with industry trends and advancements in Generative AI and agentic systems

Beneficial Skills

• Hands-on experience with the Google Cloud AI/ML stack (e.g., Vertex AI, Gemini Models, Vector Search)
• Experience with AI evaluation frameworks (e.g., RAGAs, LangSmith), writing integration tests, and establishing robust validation strategies for Generative AI and agentic applications
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes for MLOps/AIOps
• A/B testing expertise for AI models and applications
