GlassFlow in Berlin is seeking an AI Engineer to design and build memory systems for AI agents, and to advance retrieval, context assembly, and knowledge representation in production.

You will work with Python, LLMs, and vector search, collaborating with founders and the broader engineering team to turn research ideas into reliable, scalable product capabilities. The role emphasizes evaluating retrieval quality, improving latency and cost, and enforcing access controls.

Qualifikationen

• Strong software-engineering skills and experience building production systems.
• Practical experience with LLMs, agents, retrieval systems, or applied machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern backend and data infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of embeddings, vector search, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, and prompting.
• Experimental mindset: you form hypotheses, build prototypes, measure results, and iterate quickly.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and turn research ideas into reliable product capabilities.
• Strong product judgment and interest in how people actually use AI systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.

• Collaborate directly with the founders and broader engineering team on product direction and architecture.
