Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in data engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL; orchestration tooling (Airflow, Dagster) and transformation frameworks (dbt, Spark).
• Unstructured data processing - document extraction, NLP pipelines, OCR, or LLM-based data enrichment.
• Cloud data platform depth on AWS, Azure, or GCP (deployed and operated in production).
• API design and event-driven integration experience.
• Data quality, lineage tracking, and auditability as engineering disciplines.
• English and German.

Aufgaben

• Design and build production data pipelines ingesting, transforming, and structuring legal data at client-mandate scale.
• Architect and operate data infrastructure supporting AI-powered legal products: entity extraction, document classification, clause-level intelligence, and DSAR processing at volume.
• Build and own the data layer for client-facing solutions - regulated legal environments.
• Develop extraction, classification, and enrichment pipelines over unstructured legal documents using NLP, LLM APIs, and document processing tooling.
• Engage directly with global enterprise clients to map existing data estates and design integration architectures.
• Build reusable internal tooling, documentation, and pipeline components enabling faster and more consistent deployment of data-intensive legal solutions across client contexts.

AI Futures are exclusively retained for an Data & AI Consultant with a European-headquartered legal technology and operations platform operating in 14 countries with a client base spanning the world's largest technology firms, financial institutions, pharmaceutical groups, and energy companies.

You will design, build, and operate the data infrastructure that powers AI-driven legal solutions deployed for global clients. You will sit at the intersection of legal domain knowledge and modern data engineering to deliver outcomes at scale: mass litigation defence, managed legal services, AI-powered legal operations, and scalable contract solutions for global enterprises.

The Role

• Design and build production data pipelines ingesting, transforming, and structuring legal data at client-mandate scale.
