Job summary

Bayer in Berlin invites final-year students in Computer Science, Software Engineering or AI to join our Agentic AI Internship. You’ll work in agile, cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and deliver AI-powered solutions from backend to frontend.

The six-month program starts January 2027. You’ll receive mentorship, build a portfolio of project work, and present results to internal stakeholders at a global pharmaceutical leader.

Qualifications

• Final-year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience building full-stack applications that use AI technologies.
• Foundational understanding of AI and machine-learning concepts, such as model usage, APIs, and data processing.
• Based in Germany.
• Confident English communication (spoken and written).
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Agentic AI initiatives with clearly defined problem statements.
• Develop full-stack applications using modern frameworks.
• Integrate AI models and tools into product prototypes, including large language models, embeddings, vision models, and agents.
• Collaborate with teammates on architecture, design decisions, and project delivery.
• Bring creative ideas and contribute to the direction of project work.
• Present prototypes, demonstrations, and results to internal stakeholders.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for motivated final-year students to join our AI initiatives. You will collaborate in agile, cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and deliver innovative AI-powered solutions.

This internship is ideal for students who enjoy building end-to-end products from back-end logic to front-end interfaces, and who are excited to explore the practical potential of AI.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

REQUIRED SKILLS

• You are a final-year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• You have hands-on experience building full-stack applications that use AI technologies
• You have a foundational understanding of AI and machine-learning concepts, such as model usage, APIs, and data processing
• You are based in Germany
• You communicate confidently in English, both verbally and in writing
• You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, adapting to evolving priorities, and collaborating with others

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Familiarity with additional programming languages
• Experience applying AI tools and techniques, such as prompt engineering or automation workflows
• Experience with UX/UI design, including Figma, design systems, or user flows
• Exposure to innovation, rapid prototyping, or start-up-style environments
