Airbus Defence and Space GmbH is seeking an Aerospace Cyber Security System Architect to lead security concepts and secure architectures for defence and aerospace solutions. You will drive risk assessments, threat modeling, and verification of cyber-security designs while coordinating with stakeholders across locations.

Qualifications

• Education in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, communications, computer science, or comparable experience.
• Several years of system security engineering experience for complex space and aviation systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and frameworks (ISO 27000 family, NIST SP800-37, etc.).
• Experience with security products and secure communications protocols.
• Strong expertise in secure architecture principles (Zero Trust, Defense in Depth, Least Privilege).
• Knowledge of risk assessment frameworks (EBIOS, NIST SP800-37).
• Ability to define verification and validation procedures for secure architectures.
• Excellent English communication; German is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide end to end support to projects with regards to cyber security.
• Lead the definition of security requirements and security concepts for specific projects.
• Lead the design of secure architecture for aerospace solutions.
• Lead the security risk assessment and threat modeling processes.
• Act as security officer for aerospace projects and be the point of contact for security topics.
• Verify and validate cyber-security system and network design.
• Develop and adapt baselines for secure system and network configuration and hardening.
• Support the bid team with technical security solution and effort estimation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure on-quality, on-time delivery within cost.

To support the team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Aerospace Cyber Security System Architect (d/m/w).

More than 450 cyber experts in our offices in France, Germany, the UK and Spain leverage our Airbus DNA by developing products and solutions for customers based on state-of-the-art, trusted technologies. Our mission is to design, develop, integrate and deliver tailored cyber security products and solutions for defence, government and institutional customers and provide operational support throughout the system life cycle.

This role can also be performed with reduced weekly working hours and an adapted scope of responsibilities.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• Provide end to end support to projects with regards to cyber security.
• Lead the definition of Security requirement , security concept for specific projects.
• Lead the Design of Secure architecture for Aerospace Solutions
• Lead the Security Risk Assessment and Threat Modeling Processes
• Act as Security Officer for certain Aerospace Projects and be the point of contact for all related security topics
• Verification and Validation of Cyber-security System/Network design
• Evaluate, develop and adapt Baseline for secure system and network configuration and hardening aligned with security requirement
• Support the Bid Team with the technical solution (security scope) and effort estimation
• Coordinate with the different stakeholders and team members to ensure the delivery of the technical solution on-quality, on-time and on-cost (oQoToC)

Desired Skills And Qualifications

• You are educated to a degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, communications, computer science or similar, or comparable experience
• You have several years of experience in system security engineering and the definition of security concept and processes for complex solution for Space and Aviation systems
• You have good knowledge of the different Cyber Security standards and frameworks ( e.g. ISO 27000 Family, NIST 2 , CMMC, ...) and you are well-versed in Security Products and Secure Communications Protocols
• You possess strong expertise with Secure Architecture Principles and Concepts ( Zero Trust , Defense in Depth, Least Privilege...)
• You are knowledgeable of the Risk Assessment framework (e.g. EBIOS , NIST SP800-37..)
• You have a solid understanding to define verification and validation procedures for secure architecture
• Your excellent communication and writing skills in English set you apart; German would be a plus
