ERC System seeks an Aerodynamics Engineer to advance the aerodynamics design of our hybrid-electric eVTOL aircraft in Ottobrunn. You will run CFD studies in Ansys Fluent and plan wind tunnel campaigns, from scaled models to propeller rigs, while supporting full-scale propulsion testing from an aerodynamics perspective.

You will build CAD models in Siemens NX, optimize propeller aerodynamics and aeroacoustics, and apply Python tools to streamline analyses.

Qualifikationen

• Hold an academic degree in Aerospace Engineering
• Have foundational knowledge of aircraft and propeller aerodynamics
• Hands-on experience with CFD, ideally Ansys Fluent
• Have strong Python programming skills
• Have a high level of target-oriented self-management with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
• Have excellent problem solving, communication and technical writing skills
• Have fluent English language skills

About The Role We are looking for an Aerodynamics Engineer to join our growing flight physics team. You will contribute to the aerodynamic design of our hybrid-electric eVTOL aircraft - including the wing, high-lift devices, fuselage, lifting arms and landing gear - with a strong focus on propeller aerodynamic and aeroacoustic design, optimization, and propeller-airframe interaction effects.

About The Role We are looking for an Aerodynamics Engineer to join our growing flight physics team. Working close to the hardware is part of the job: you run CFD studies in Ansys Fluent for design and validation, and plan wind tunnel campaigns spanning scaled aircraft models for fixed-wing aerodynamics to a small-scale propeller rig for interaction effects, while supporting our full-scale propeller test stand from an aerodynamics perspective.

What You Bring

• Hold an academic degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical course of study
• Hold foundational knowledge of aircraft and propeller aerodynamics
• Have hands-on experience with CFD, ideally Ansys Fluent
• Have strong Python programming skills
• Have a high level of target-oriented self-management with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
• Have excellent problem solving, communication and technical writing skills
• Have fluent English language skills
