Summary

This position is an Administrative Support Assistant, GS- 0303-07 working in Fairbanks or Anchorage, Alaska for the R7-Northern Alaska Fish and Wildlife Field Office. During the applicant process you will be given the option to select which duty stations you would like to be considered for. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate. Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) rate of 1.49% is authorized.

Major Duties

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7, Northern Alaska Fish and Wildlife Field Office, in Fairbanks or Anchorage, Alaska. At the full performance level (GS-07) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Provides administrative support to staff which may include travel arrangements, payroll, and personnel actions. Provides administrative oversight of various business processes, which may include processing financial, procurement, property, personnel, and other administrative instruments for staff. Within limits of delegated warranted authority, purchases necessary supplies and services by proper procurement methods. Provides fiscal and administrative assistance to field station personnel related to current policies, procedures, and regulations.
