This position is located on the Northern Region, R1 or Eastern Region, R9. This position performs a wide variety of administrative tasks for Ranger District personnel. The incumbent manages tasks related to budgeting, accounting, agreements, travel, human resources, file organization, correspondence preparation, office automation systems, and property management. Duties listed are at the full performance level, GS-07.Maintains a detailed knowledge of travel policies and regulations to serve as a technical resource to unit personnel.Prepares travel requests and vouchers for travel.Advises on travel allowances and requirement and ensures adherence to travel regulations.Uses automated systems and software for travel and voucher preparation.Provides support for grants and agreements on the Ranger District.Develops and implements new systems or administrative processes to meet unit needs.

You will be evaluated in accordance with the category rating procedure as defined in the USDA Demonstration Project Plan. Applicants who meet the basic minimum qualification requirements established for the position will be placed in the Eligible category. You will be further evaluated against criteria for placement in the Quality category. This evaluation is based on the level of your experience, education, and/or training as determined by your responses to the Assessment Questionnaire.
