Coinbase is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead the finance for the Tokenized Equities product, owning the accounting model from policy to controls and coordinating with Tax, FP&A, and external auditors.

You will ensure regulatory reporting, implement robust processes, and prepare IFRS/US GAAP analyses for new structures in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

• Build the accounting model from the ground up — covering token issuance and redemption, asset tracking, intercompany flows, and the close process
• Own regulatory compliance and reporting to the FSRA for this business, liaising with the regulator and maintaining a robust reporting process
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Treasury, FP&A, and Finance Data to ensure accuracy, control, and scalability
• Sign off on flow of funds, posting rules, account setup, ledger structure, reconciliations, and reporting before launch
• Lead accounting analysis for new structures under US GAAP and IFRS, including dividends, splits, and balance sheet treatment
• Build the reporting framework for our issuer entity, including annual audited IFRS financials, local filings, and external audit support
• Set up a control environment for a regulated launch — audit trails, books and records, and data integrity across on-chain and off-chain systems
• Identify accounting, controls, and reporting risks early and assign clear owners and plans

Coinbase Tokenized Equities give eligible non-US users a simple way to buy tokens backed 1:1 by US stocks and ETFs — no brokerage account needed. The tokens are issued out of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), a regulated financial centre overseen by the FSRA, and trade 24/7 onchain. We’re hiring an Accounting Manager to be the finance lead for this product. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who likes to build. You’ll own the accounting and reporting model from the ground up — accounting policy, regulatory and legal entity reporting, controls, GL operations, and finance systems — coordinating across Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and controllership, as well as external auditors and regulators. What You’ll Do

• Build the accounting model from the ground up — covering token issuance and redemption, asset tracking, intercompany flows, and the close process

• Sign off on flow of funds, posting rules, account setup, ledger structure, reconciliations, and reporting before launch
• Lead accounting analysis for new structures under US GAAP and IFRS, including dividends, splits, and balance sheet treatment
• Build the reporting framework for our issuer entity, including annual audited IFRS financials, local filings, and external audit support
• Set up a control environment for a regulated launch — audit trails, books and records, and data integrity across on-chain and off-chain systems
• Identify accounting, controls, and reporting risks early and ensure each has a clear owner and plan

Required Skills

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, or similar strongly preferred
• Strong accounting or finance experience in a regulated setting (capital markets, broker-dealer, exchange, custody, clearing, or digital assets)
• Experience working directly with a financial regulator — inquiries, exams, or filings
• Proven ability to apply accounting rules to new or complex products
• Experience building new finance processes for a new product, entity, or regulatory regime
• A strong controls mindset and the ability to shape how systems are built before launch
• Clear communication skills and comfort in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Familiarity with the FSRA and its regulatory framework and rulebook
• Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices to deliver business‑ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
