The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and proven accounting experience, with strong knowledge of HGB, German tax rules, and experience using DATEV or SAP. Fluency in German is essential, English is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as an Accountant, Financial Accountant, or Bookkeeper.
• Strong knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations.
• Experience with accounting software (DATEV, SAP, or similar systems).
• Good analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Fluent German language skills required; English is a plus.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter) are an advantage.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger balances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with German GAAP (HGB) and tax regulations.
• Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Prepare VAT returns and other statutory financial reports.
• Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies.

*This position is not remote. We have multiple onsite locations across the Germany for our client.

For our client, a well-established company in Germany, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance and accounting team.

Salary Range: €50,000 – €80,000 per annum + Bonus (depending on experience and qualifications)

Location: Germany (Multiple Locations) - On-site / Hybrid (depending on company requirements)

Your Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper bookkeeping in accordance with German accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
