Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in enterprise software sales with customers in mechanical engineering, machinery manufacturing, industrial automation, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of engineering-driven production processes, assembly workflows, documentation requirements, and quality methodologies.
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders, influence decisions, and navigate complex buying centers.
  • Strong understanding of industrial production environments, quality processes, and shopfloor workflows (a plus).
  • Experience in both hunting and farming — comfortable with both new logo acquisition and account expansion.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • High degree of ownership, structure, and accountability.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, MS Dynamics, or similar).
  • Fluent English; German or other European languages are an advantage.
  • A bachelor’s degree is essential, and a master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

As Account Manager / Account Director – Mechanical Engineering, you will own a portfolio of key industrial and machinery manufacturing customers.

Your mission is to expand CSP’s footprint across production, assembly, quality management, and service environments — enabling customers to increase operational excellence, reduce defect costs, and digitize their quality workflows.

You will work closely with engineering leaders, operations teams, quality managers, IT departments, and industrial executives to guide their transformation journeys toward modern cloud-based QMS and Shopfloor solutions.

About the Role

As an Account Manager / Account Director at CSP, you own a defined territory and portfolio of strategic industrial accounts.

You are responsible for driving new business, expanding existing relationships, and positioning CSP’s QMS and Shopfloor solutions with key stakeholders ranging from operational experts to C-level executives.

You will execute a value-selling approach, understand complex production environments, and guide customers through their digital transformation journey.

Position details
  • Own the full end-to-end sales cycle for CSP’s product suite targeting machinery manufacturers, engineering-driven production lines, and complex assembly environments.
  • Develop strategic account plans aligned with customer production strategies (automation, modularization, robotics, digital work instructions, traceability, predictive quality).
  • Drive new business across mid-sized mechanical engineering firms and global industrial manufacturers.
  • Expand existing accounts through cross-plant rollouts, new production lines, and digital quality transformation programs.
  • Build and maintain multi-threaded relationships with quality leaders, production managers, engineering teams, and C-level stakeholders.
  • Articulate CSP’s value in the context of mechanical engineering requirements: variant complexity, long product lifecycles, high customization, regulatory demands, and after-sales quality.
  • Work with PreSales, Product, Customer Success, and Partner Management to deliver successful customer evaluations and project outcomes.
  • Execute accurate territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline management with a disciplined, data-driven approach.
  • Represent CSP at industry events, partner discussions, and mechanical engineering trade shows (e.g., Hannover Messe).
