Tasks / Responsibilities
- Disciplinary responsibility for the department at the Regensburg site and further development in line with corporate goals and TÜV SÜD leadership commitments.
- Establishment of an innovative and positive work culture to promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Managing existing clients and acquiring new ones through proposal and contract negotiations in collaboration with sales.
- Identifying and implementing new legal and normative frameworks within a profitable growth strategy.
- Optimizing measurement procedures and increasing sampling efficiency through improved equipment.
- Ensuring high-quality standards in customer contact, service delivery, and documentation through ongoing team competence development.
- Collaborating closely with other departments on process optimization and cross-departmental account management in national and international projects.
- Active participation in operational activities during representations and key client engagements.
- Overall responsibility for the department's accreditation, compliance with authorities, and representation in relevant committees.
Qualifications
- Degree in environmental or process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Ideally some leadership experience as a department head.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to promote effective collaboration.
- Enjoyment of customer contact and responsibility for defined goals, strategic thinking, and operational excellence.
- Extensive experience in emission measurements, functional tests, and calibrations.
- Deep understanding of environmental legislation and environmental performance monitoring.
- Very good technological understanding of industrial processes.
- Fluent German and very good English skills in speaking and writing.
