DE.750 Houlihan Lokey (Europe) GmbH is offering a 3‑4 month internship in Frankfurt. Interns will work alongside restructuring bankers on various assignments that provide exposure to financial advisory products, including restructurings and mergers & acquisitions.

Requirements include being an undergraduate in your final year or a graduate student, as well as strong analytical and communication skills in both German and English. Previous internship experience in investment banking is preferred.

Scope

Houlihan Lokey offers a 3‑4 month internship opportunity in their Frankfurt office. The internship allows interns to work alongside restructuring bankers on various assignments for clients across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

• Gain on‑the‑job training similar to a first‑year analyst.
• Work on transactions providing exposure to different financial advisory products and industries, including creditor‑ and debtor‑side restructurings and distressed mergers & acquisitions.
• Develop financial modelling and valuation analysis skills.
• Collaborate as part of a project team.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Undergraduate in final year of study or graduate student.
• Strong academic track record and a degree (or pursuit) in accounting, economics, finance, or related fields.
• Understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and fluent English (additional languages are advantageous).
• Demonstrated interest in financial restructuring.
• Previous internship experience in investment banking or related fields.
• International experience is desirable.
• Motivation and ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding environment.
