Zusammenfassung

Houlihan Lokey is seeking an Off-Cycle Intern to join our Frankfurt office for a 3-month period in Q3 2026. You will work alongside restructuring bankers on diverse assignments for clients across industries, gaining hands-on experience in financial modelling and valuations.

You will be exposed to creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A, developing skills in a fast-paced, international environment with strong mentorship.

Qualifikationen

• Strong academic record and must be studying for or have a degree in accounting, economics or finance.
• Understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications.
• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in German and fluent English.
• Interest in Financial Restructuring.
• Previous internship experience within investment banking or related fields.
• International experience is desirable but not essential.
• Motivated and able to work cooperatively with all levels in a fast-paced environment.

We are currently hiring for an Off-Cycle Intern to join the Frankfurt office for a period of 3 months in Q3 2026

Scope

Houlihan Lokey offers 3 month internship opportunities in their Frankfurt office. The internship is an excellent opportunity to work alongside restructuring bankers in a stimulating environment on various restructuring assignments for clients in various industries.

Responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job training. Throughout your internship, you will get similar levels of exposure as a first-year analyst, working on transactions that provide exposure to various financial advisory products and industries, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed mergers & acquisitions. Furthermore you will gain experience in financial modelling, valuation analyses, and work as part of a project team.

Qualifications / Requirements

• You will have a strong academic track record and must be studying for / or achieved a degree in accounting, economics and or finance


• You will have an understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications


• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and fluent English (additional language skills are also advantageous).


• You will have a demonstrated interest in Financial Restructuring


• Previous internship experience within investment banking and / or related fields


• International experience is also desirable, but not essential


• You must be motivated and have the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment
