Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences - Department of Mathematics

1-3 Research Fellow (m/f/d) in DFG funded Research Training Group 2965 "From Geometry to Numbers" with expected 75 % part-time employment - E 13 TV-L HU (third-party funding limited until 30.09.2030)

Responsibilities
  • Scientific service in research in the DFG Research Training Group 2965: "From Geometry to Numbers"
  • Contribute to and actively participate in the academic program of the RTG
  • Regular business trips to the partner city (place of work either Berlin or Hannover depending on the location of the primary supervisor)
  • Tasks for personal scientific qualification (doctoral degree): work independently on a research project proposed in agreement with supervisor within four years
Requirements
  • Completed scientific university degree (Master’s or Diploma) in Mathematics or Theoretical Physics
  • Focus in studies on Algebra, Geometry or Number Theory is necessary
  • Above-average academic performance in the aforementioned disciplines is expected
