Job Overview

Ensuring reliable power supplies worldwide! We aim to contribute actively to this goal with our devices and systems for network monitoring and preventive error detection. As demand increases, we are looking for embedded software developers to expand our software team at the TE site in Waiblingen (formerly Kries Energietechnik GmbH & Co. KG).

Responsibilities

  • Pioneering further development of our product lines
  • Designing new concepts, e.g., for distributed information exchange and processing
  • Designing new error detection algorithms and measurement methods
  • Implementing concepts in maintainable, high-quality code
  • Maintaining and expanding our CI / CD infrastructure independently
  • Documenting processes and code
  • Implementing automation tools such as auto-generators
  • Analyzing the impact of bug reports and change requests
  • Fixing bugs and backporting fixes to older software versions
  • Integrating software modules into larger projects
  • Supporting hardware-in-the-loop system tests
  • Providing expert input for service and product management requests
  • Modifying existing (legacy) code bases
  • Leading internal training workshops
  • Maintaining and developing a cross-product software architecture
  • Participating in trade fairs, conferences, and workshops

Candidate Profile

  • At least 6 years of experience in embedded software development
  • Master's degree in embedded software, computer science, or electrical engineering
  • Interest in exploring new approaches and technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of C and C++ programming languages
  • Strong skills in embedded software development
  • Background in electronics and/or electrical power distribution (preferred)
  • Interest in power grids (advantageous)
  • Fluent in English and advanced German (C1), both written and spoken
