About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of the world's largest integrator of security systems. For multiple European locations. They offer customers a wide range of security solutions such as access systems, video surveillance systems and burglar alarm systems. This role requires previous experience working in a Data Center or a Mission Critical environment.

Responsibilities include

Working within Data Centers providing technical assistance, system verification of new and existing installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance and repair routines related to installed safety systems, and the installation of small or less complex security systems.

Work Schedule

  • Travel to multiple client sites within the region

Key Responsibilities

Mounting and positioning cameras (indoor / outdoor, fixed / PTZ).

Running and terminating cables (coaxial, Cat5e / 6, fiber).

Connecting cameras to network video recorders (NVRs) or video management systems (VMS).

Configuring camera angles, zones, and retention settings.

Access Control System Setup

Installing electronic door locks, card readers, biometric scanners.

Cabling and integrating with building management or security systems.

Programming access permissions and schedules.

Integrating alarms into the building’s monitoring systems.

Testing and Commissioning

Verifying proper operation of each component.

Troubleshooting faults in cabling, hardware, or software.

Documenting installations and producing reports.

Maintenance & Upgrades

Replacing faulty equipment.

Upgrading software / firmware for CCTV or security systems.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Completed vocational training as an electrician, electronics technician, mechatronics engineer, computer scientist or comparable qualification
  • Customer-oriented, independent, reliable and structured way of working
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, technical skills related to building automation systems, intrusion alarm systems and / or electronic security systems
  • Solid mechanical and electrical skills (e.g. handling a variety of hand and power tools such as testing equipment, drill, screwdriver, wire strippers, hacksaw, crimping pliers)
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic organizational skills and the ability to meet multiple service requirements at the same time
  • Good computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), additional computer science skills are an advantage
  • Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken, Class B driving license
