Payments

Payments is a core product for Cash Management and a growth area in Deutsche Bank’s strategy. To support growth and remain a leading global player, significant investments are made in Deutsche Bank’s payment infrastructure. The team delivers key applications in the Payment integration platform, which serve as a single entry point for all payments across the entire enterprise, including over €100 billion in monthly payment transactions across 42 countries in Europe, APAC, and the Americas.

As a Lead QA Automation Engineer (f/m/x), you will define testing strategy, develop automation frameworks, perform functional and non-functional testing, and propose improvements throughout the testing lifecycle, from specification to production support. You will collaborate closely with business departments, developers, analysts, and project managers.

Your key responsibilities

• Define and drive test strategies, including functional, regression, and integration testing approaches
• Create, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Lead the design, development, and supervision of automated test suites and frameworks across various platforms and technologies
• Manage quality risks, test planning, and compliance reporting
• Support target date deliveries, prepare related reports, and oversee test environments for automation needs
• Mentor QA engineers and promote best practices in test automation and quality engineering

Your skills and experiences

• Several years of IT experience and hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance, automation, or software development
• Solid knowledge of core Java, experience with backend automation, REST, Oracle, JMX; Spring experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of QA processes within SDLC
• Expertise in cloud-native development, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), and scalable distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GIT, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Strategic thinking with a focus on maintainability and cross-team collaboration
