Responsibilities

Further and new development of existing database landscapes: programming of new functions that arise from requirements of laboratory and scientist functions of the BioHub as well as from research projects ongoing in the organization

Management, design, planning, preparation and implementation or cross-departmental coordination of projects in the areas of automation, digitization, databases and process control systems, including cost tracking and reporting

Integration of new technologies and instruments into the local database infrastructure through independent programming work, particularly in the field of laboratory automation

Programming work in the experimental databases to provide interfaces to software-specific solutions for further data processing, evaluation and visualization using relevant programming languages and IT tools

Providing technical guidance to laboratory and scientific staff at the BioHub on the implementation of database, software, IT and instrumentation and control concepts in specific competence and research projects

Partial budget responsibility as well as controlling and reporting for all site-specific digitization projects

Requirements

Successfully completed studies with a focus on automation and process control technology as well as programming of databases

Professional experience in the chemical process industry

Experience in project management and project execution

Knowledge of the configuration of InfoPlus.21 systems (Aspentech) and process control systems VBA and web technologies (web services, REST and SOAP APIs)

Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Python, C#/.NET, SQL databases, OPC and OPC-UA interfaces

Very good written and spoken German and English

Communication and cooperation skills as well as a team-oriented way of working, coupled with a confident and engaging manner
